Disheartened Rivers

They can’t begin to understand

How tears flow like a stream.

Gushing, rushing rivers and

One measly hopeless dream.

Then one day, the tears ran dry,

The rivers stopped their flow.

Drought-stricken waterways,

Too disheartened to even go.
