Two black cats jump,
From the floor to the high window.
They love to perch
And watch the birds outside.
The chirping fills the sky
And the birds fill empty tree branches
Like spring leaves.
Two black cats watch,
In amazement
With their yellow-green eyes.
Chattering at the sparrows,
Their ears are alert.
But they know they cannot
Reach them,
Since the two black cats
Stay indoors.
